Professor James Galloway MBChB PGCert MSc PhD FRCP FAcadMedEd
James Galloway is a professor in rheumatic diseases and honorary consultant rheumatologist at King’s College London. He is a fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators, and is chair of the assessment board for the King’s College London medical degree course. He has extensive knowledge of assessment methods and question design.
As a researcher, he is an epidemiologist, and runs a group studying clinical outcomes in inflammatory arthritis, including undertaking early phase clinical trials. He is Deputy Director for the King’s NIHR Clinical Trials Facility. Clinically his specialist interests are biologic immunosuppression in autoimmune disease and sarcoidosis.
Dr Matthew Jones MBChB MD FRCP
Matthew Jones is a consultant neurologist at Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences and Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. He is the associate programme director for MBChB programme at the medical school. He has lectured widely on clinical reasoning and diagnostic error in medicine.
His research interest is cognitive neurology, specialising in young onset dementia. Clinically he is a neurology consultant at a major tertiary referral teaching hospital, delivering acute neurology care for a broad range of complex neurology.
The tutors have been involved in MRCP preparation for all stages of the exam for over a decade, and are adept in guiding students through the exam. They share an enthusiasm for both medical education and high quality clinical care.
